Psychiatry Staff:


Dr. Leo Murphy,  M.D. FRCP(C)

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Leo Murphy is a psychiatrist who completed his medical training at Memorial University and his residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Murphy is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is a Clinician/Supervisor at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. He was previously a psychiatric consultant at the Hincks/Dellcrest Children's Centre and the head of the Group Psychotherapy program at St. Michael's. Dr. Murphy's current clinical interests are in assessment, treatment and psychopharmacology in the areas of Attention Defcit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Anxiety and Mood Disorders.


Dr. Rosemary Fitzgerald,  M.D. FRCP(C)

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Rosemary Fitzgerald is a psychiatrist who completed her medical training at Memorial University. She completed an internship at St. Joseph's Health Centre, followed by her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Fitzgerald was a Staff Psychiatrist at the Hospital For Sick Children, after which she completed her Psychoanalytic training at the Toronto Institute of Psychonanalysis. She has been in private practice since 1992 and also serves as a Consultant Psychiatrist for the National Ballet School of Canada. Dr. Fitzgerald's current clinical interests include Behavioural difficulties in children and adolescents, family issues in Attention Defcit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Anxiety Disorders.  

 

Dr. Albert Allen, M.D. FRCP(C)

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Albert Allen is a Psychiatrist who trained at the University of Calgary.  He completed his residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Allen works with the University of Toronto Counselling and Psychological Services. Dr. Allen's current clinical interests are in the areas of assessment, treatment and psychopharmacology in the areas of Attention Defcit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders and Learning Disorders.



Psychology Staff:


Rubaba Ansari MA

Clinical Director

Ms. Ansari has worked in several senior administrative positions including the coordination of large scale research protocals and academic projects, both in tertiary care and research settings. Her current areas of clinical interest include ADHD and comorbid disorders such as Learning Disabilities and Anxiety. Ms. Ansari is an experienced psychometrist and has worked in the areas of Epilepsy and Sickle Cell Disease at the Hospital For Sick Children for several years.  She is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at The University of Toronto.
