Mindful Parenting, Resilient Children

A 4-week Therapy Program

with Dr. M. Lee Freedman 

This 4-week course is an introduction to the principles and practices of mindful parenting with an emphasis on the unique challenges of raising a child or teen with attention regulation challenges. The course will explore ways for parents to manage the stress associated with raising a child with ADHD, to practice attention and emotion regulation skills in order to help their children learn to self-regulate, and to be present with themselves and their children in both joyful and difficult times.

About Dr. Freedman:

Dr. M. Lee Freedman is a Toronto-based psychiatrist with over 30 years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, adults and families. Dr. Freedman integrates mindfulness training into individual, family and group therapy; she also teaches mindfulness workshops to parents, teachers and healthcare professionals. She is currently a member of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto in the AMM (Applied Mindfulness Meditation) program and also at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto.
